With the rain vacating just as the sighters went down the range, the opening shoot for the outdoor season began.
30 archers took part in the shoot on Easter Monday, with opportunities for any archer to win prizes with random mystery scores for each lane and a handicap competition for Spelthorne members.
Shooting between a National 30 (4 dozen at 30yds and 2 dozen at 20yds), and a National 60 (4 dozen at 60yds and 2 dozen at 50yds). We had a great showing across all major disciplines for an enjoyable afternoon (despite it being a bit more gusty at the far end of the range!)
Those nearest the mystery score were awarded with an Easter Egg (which is especially helpful if you forgot both your food and sight!)
Thank you to everyone who attended from Spelthorne, Atkin, Laleham, Whiteleaf and Warfield. We look forward to welcoming you back soon.
For the handicap competition, Imogen one of our juniors shooting Recurve took the cup, with her brother Jake coming in second.
Well done Imogen!
